Sales people are lovely. But see what happens when you get robbed, your house trashed and your cars stolen and written off. The 'OTHER' people take over. The Suncorp people. You deal with long delays, beauracracy at its worst, settlement people in India who do not speak English very well and the list goes on. It takes weeks and weeks, and they argue with you every step of the way. One lady told us that we shouldn't go on holidays. Another lady told us that we our bank (bendigo bank) was a new credit union. A third person said that we obvious ly live ina a dangerous area (we don't) and it's our fault we were robbed - despite having a locked garage, the robbers smashed the walls in of our garage to remove the cars. How is that our fault? After 7 years of being loyal clients of APIA we've had enough. Worst experience, most stressful time - none of it our fault. But they make you feel like it is. We are over $10,000 out of pocket. DO NOT BE BEGUILED BY THEIR "EMPATHETIC SALES TALK". They actually do not have any control over the claims process, and they do not care at all. After 30 years of teaching marketing and customer care, this is the best case study I've ever had on how not to treat your loyal customers
