Alfresco's Cafe

Ordered our meal at 6:38pm checked on the progress at 7:10pm, as many other customers who had arrived later had already been surved, we were told by the manger that they were just being plated. 15 mimutes later we again asked were our meals were and again we were told they are being plated, we finally recieved our meals at 7:39pm 51 minites after ordering them. When I informed the manager of my dissatisfaction with waiting 51 minutes to receive a meal I would expect to recieve anywhere else in 30-35 minutes I was informed that in 10 years he had recieved no complaints and "it takes 20 minutes to cook burger paddies" also he informed us that we had only been waiting for 40 minutes. The food we eventually recieved was dry and overcooked and all of the chips that were surved with it were cold, needless to say we will not be going here again.

The worst experience I have had in years. We had to send the garlic bread back because it was so over cooked it just crumbled to pieces and so dry we couldn't eat it. We got our schnitzel and it tastes strongly of lemon which wasn't mentioned in the menu so we sent them back and asked if we could have ones that didn't taste like lemon.

The owner/ manager approached the table and asked us how things were, we said ok and proceeded to tell him about the issues we had. He then told us he tasted the garlic bread we had and it was perfectly fine and we didn't see why we complained and blamed the butcher ( which happens to be Woolworths, yes not even proper chicken breast that I can get from a fish and chip shop) he continued to argue that there was nothing wrong with the meals and it would be better if we didn't get our replacement meal. I have been a local for 18 years and have worked in retail as a manager for 7 years and I have never spoken or been spoken to so rudely in my life!!
