Our lovely new Invicta fireplace arrived today with the wrong-sized active flue and wrong outer decorative casing. We spoke to Abbey at Brookvale who claimed the parts were correct (clearly not, as we had their authorised installed on site and he couldn't fit the part). We also asked for the stainless steel outer casing and got some filigree patterned one instead. The installer got onto the owner (Jason) at Abbey. Unfortunately Jason didn't know he was on speaker phone, so we got to hear his idea of customer services, which included telling the installer to "just fix it" then telling him off for giving customers "my phone number". The installer has now left, we have a few tonnes of cast iron stove not yet installed and no idea when or if he will ever come back. Just starting the process with Department of Fair Trading to get our money back but in the meantime thought future customers should be warned.
