Grandview Hotel

Decent pub food and an family environment in the restaurant bistro area. There are several fox sports tvs in this area with the volume down which means you can have a civilised meal and keep one eye on the score. The front bar has a pool table and has a bit of life after 9pm with locals (all backgrounds, male and female) have a drink and watch the footy on a friday night. its not cool or hip, its a local pub.

I was particularly impressed because I called the hotel early and asked if I could watch the super-rugby on foxtel with my son. The manager said yes and when we arrived he was good to his word, changing the channel on a tv in the corner (not the main footy one our we would be dead now). We watched the game, had a light beer and soft drinks and chatted to the patrons who were friendly.
