The Pool Reno Guy

We tried to allow them to make good before writing this review, which is solely based on my honest opinion. We were charged over $23000 for our pool renovation (8m x 4m pool). One unexpected cost was a new pool pump – they took our existing pool pump offsite and when they returned with it and reinstalled it water was blowing everywhere, and they charged us $1200 to replace that. We were always concerned about our renovated timber decking being damaged and we laid down a protective covering before they commenced works. They removed this protective covering and subsequently damaged our decking with a pressure cleaner. They owned up to it and said that they would fix it but subsequently stated “we have no responsibility for decks”. They also drilled into our retaining wall without any form of verbal or written consent, and left a hole in it, potentially compromising it structurally. And finally they state that “there will always be an amount of unpreventable dust”. Well, the clean-up needed afterwards required that we pay for a ‘builders clean’ that cost us a further $1760 (including our roof, solar panels, gutters, walls, windows, etc.). To add salt to the wound, after around 3 months they had to drain the pool again to fix defects in the pool lining that they installed. They wrote to us and said that they would pay for the water to refill the pool as well as the chemicals/salt to re-balance the pool chemistry (“we are more than happy to pay for the filling of the pool”, “we are happy and willing to pay for the chemicals”), but never did. So in my opinion, and after approximately $25,000 spent and being left with defective work, we are disgusted and disappointed, and won’t be recommending them.
