Reliable and fair price for great job

Like many in this line of work Dave charges extra because you need your applicance fixed to live in this modern world and you are not really in a position to argue. So a $50 part plus 15 minutes to fit it (plus service call charge of $55) came to $220. Probably about $80 over what it should have been, but it's one of those things where you are just basically pleased to have your fridge working again. Asked if he could check our other fridge while he was here (seeing as we were paying a callout fee and I know the other fridge has a thermostat problem - just the opposite one - it runs ALL the time) but he just dismissed it and said "if it was running all the time everything would be frozen" without even looking at it... Guess he had his $220 and didn't want to spend any more time here...
He did an adequate job but I'd reccommend you shop around a bit.
