Capalaba Caravan Repairs

After taking my pop top there to have the cross braces replaced,I had to clean the dirty hand marks off the roof and blow away the metal drillings under the roof from the job.When I used the van next, the pop rivets holding the roof to the cross braces pulled through, so I took the van back, and Paul told me that the wrong pop rivets were used. When he replaced them he used 5mm.pop rivets through the roof and cross braces and pulled the rivet against a steel washer with a 7mm. hole, which is at least 1mm. too big for the pop rivet, so when I next lifted the roof the pop rivets pulled through the washer and cross brace. After their two useless attempts to fit the cross braces, I completed the job properly myself, knowing that now the roof and cross braces will not part company again
