If I was able to select 0 stars I would.
My experience with Statewide Logistics Qld and the Owner John is not one to be desired.
I paid for transport of my vehicle from Melb to Bris over 2 months in advance. It was confirmed numerous times that my vehicle would be available for me to collect the morning of 24 Feb in Brisbane. Only days before when I queried which day my vehicle would be collected from our house was i advised they were having roadworthy issues with truck; this was later changed to driver issues. John advised he would be keeping me updated with the arrival times etc. As my car did not make it to Brisbane on time John advised he would refund me that day the cost of that trip, he then ghosted me and I have not received the refund. The truck driver was the only person to correspondence with us and advise us that our vehicle had arrived - 2 days late. Leaving us with put of pocket expenses of extra accomodation costs and a hire car cost. We lost 2 nights accomadation we had paid for.
As I had already paid for Statewide Logistics Qld to then return our vehicle from Cairns to Melb, I msgd to confirm close to two weeks prior that we would have no issues. I was advised all would go ahead smoothly with our vehicle being transported within the week.
The drop off at the Cairns depot went smoothly and Statewide Logistics Qld collected it on the Thursday. The following Monday I attempted to make contact to find out when I would expect it to be delivered during the week. I was advised John would be in contact. This set off alarm bells for me. John did not contact me. For 3 days I tried numerous phone numbers and left msgs with office staff to find out where my vehicle was, with no response. Finally on the Wednesday the truck driver contacted me to advise the car was in Mackay as the previous Friday the truck had been recalled and they were unaware of when my vehicle would be transported.
Noone would advise me where in Mackay my car was or what was going on. It was not until I msgd John and threatened to phone the POLICE that he finally responded asking "what's the issue?"
We had to fly to Brisbane to collect my car keys and it was only here at the airport (they sent the truck driver to drop off keys even though John advised he would be there) that I was provided an address for my vehicle.
Upon flying to Mackay we found my vehicle parked on the side of a road in the industrial estate ( not a secure lock up as I was advised) the vehicle was unattended and noone answered the number we were provided to call, nor did they call back.
I have since had no further contact from Statewide Logistics Qld, John (The Owner) Or the team in the office.
I have sent emails requesting the refund for the services I paid for which were not provided.
I am now pursuing legal action to recover the amount paid to them, just shy of $4000. We are a young family who were left out of pocket for loss of accomodation, further accomodation costs, car hire, flights and loss of income.
We were left stranded in Qld for 2 days with our 2 young children because of the actions of Statewide Logistics Qld and John.
There was and has been, a complete lack of customer service.
I would NEVER reccomend this company to anyone.
