Belle Property Carina is the worst real estate I have ever dealt with. We were living in Moorooka QLD in November 2014 when a massive storm brought the roof of the rental home we were living in down. We lost close to $10000 in personal items, white goods, furniture and money due to emergency accommodation paid for.
We contacted the real estate the day it happened and their "emergency" number was switched off and we heard nothing until the next day after we had already been forced to find a motel room to stay in.
The day after the disaster, we finally got contacted by the emergency contact, who seemed concerned and said that the principal was on his way to assess the place. So we rushed home, and were confronted with just how much we had lost and the extent of the damage.
The Principal of the real estate seemed at the time very concerned and said to make an itemized list of ALL costs incurred by the disaster, including moving costs, emergency accommodation while looking for a new place and any goods that we lost when the owners ceiling collapsed. He was "planning" to add our list to the owners insurance claim for us. He said to leave all damaged goods in the property and they would get a skip bin to dispose of it for us.
He also told us to apply for any house that we wanted and we would be approved as we needed to be in safe housing asap.
The real estate at no time organised or suggested any emergency housing for us and we ended up at a hotel in the city for a week and a half. We made a list of suitable housing that we could afford to apply for and sent it through to the real estate. They refused to put us forward for any of the houses at all and pushed a different one on us that was a full $100 more per week with less rooms and in a public transport challenged area (we don't drive).
We took it because we were desperate and they made it clear that no more help would be forthcoming in any applications. We had been told (again over the phone) that we would
