A poor excuse for a shop that keeps injured animals in it's window.

Terrible.

Just when you think it couldn't get any worse. One of our supporters sent us this photo of a beagle puppy sitting in a pet shop at Westfield Carindale.
We phoned the pet shop to enquire about the welfare of this puppy. Staff told us the beagle puppy has a broken leg and its being treated with "bandage therapy". When asked about pain relief, staff were not sure but 'the boss would know'. We were told the pup's brother and sister jumped on its leg and broke it.
The QLD Code of Practice for Pet shops states "Section 10.2 (d) Any injured animal should be isolated in an area away from public contact, and should also be separated from other animals unless it would benefit from companionship rather than isolation."
This puppy remains on display in the window. We don't need to explain how distressed this puppy must be.
