My letter box clearly states “No Junk Mail” on it. It has stopped a lot of junk mail but i still get a few. Normally when i get someone’s junk mail i call them first, because quite often they don’t know the companies they employ to do their letter dropping are doing that. Most are very good about it and take the appropriate steps. Occasionally i’ll get one that tries to deny any responsibility.
But as for The Kent Hotel, you ring them up and it’s impossible to talk to anyone. They only give you two options, press one for the menu or send them an email. I like a more personal touch and talk directly to the manager over the phone about it, but for some reason they don’t want to talk to their patrons.
Their junk mail boasts about a new chef they’ve employed, but it makes me think just how good is their food if they need to force themselves on you through your letter box. And i would be very sceptical about their customer service as well once you’re in there, if they won’t even talk to you over the phone.

Quality and class are words that come to mind when thinking about this large gastro pub....
You have the choice of the outsider area overlooking the rathdowne village park or the more formal dining room or even the front bar food area. I quite like them all ;-)
I think it's great for a lazy Sunday Argo drink or a really nice lunch, food is very nice from a well versed menu and wide selection of wine. Specials are always worth a go, usually really interesting dishes!
