Melbourne Museum

The Melbourne museum is a really large modern new building they opened several years ago. Ive been here two times now, funnily enough though both times were actually for functions: a corporate Christmas party, and a wedding. In both cases we had opportunity to tour some of the exhibits while we were there.
The exhibits are presented nicely, and the interior looks very modern and clean. I cant help but feel this is almost to the point where the place feels a little too sparse and lacking some character. I like my museums to be crammed full of items, and even to have an old feel to them it adds to the mood. This is just a minor criticism though and I implore everyone to come visit at least once.

Its a nice walk there from the city through Carlton Gardens. The museum is good including interactive displays and also contains a lot about the history of Melbourne. Its interesting to see what the busy Melbourne streets used to look like. Great for young and old. Dinosaur exhibit is always cool.
