Lawrie's Landscaping & Concreting

Due to his confidence, I hired Lawrie in February 2021 to do our garden beds, repair paving area, huge outdoor bench, & dig/replace weed mats on a small portion alongside our fence. Not cheap about $10K+ but I paid him straight away once requested.

I was a bit disappointed upon completion of his work because his knowledge presented to us was otherwise.

- A portion of the retaining wall of the garden beds was unfinished.

- The cover of the bench is too heavy to lift.

The lining underneath the bench became moldy once drenched by the rain because he used materials for indoor.

He even had an assistant to create the bench.

- He did not alert us before he laid the old pavers that most of them have plenty of cracks & with stains. He could have replaced them with new ones.

- The paved area is accumulating water towards the gazebo timber base everytime it rains. Water should be draining to the side of the paved area.

My hubby and myself were nice to them by giving them refreshments. Along the way, I felt Lawrie became a bit bossy. He knows how to criticize work of others but in fact, he is just the same. He promised that his work is guaranteed, and I could call him back for any concerns.

I tried to communicate with him so many times to rectify his work but to no avail and finally he said he has shifted to QLD. Consequently, I hired another tradesman to rectify his work.

He is NOT commendable and credible.

Good work in general with landscaping with reasonable pricing (inc. planting, mulching, installing garden beds, edging, etc); most importantly, committed to the job, communicative, and on-time.

Used customers material to minimise hard work and took a lot of pride in job rather than keeping customer happy. Overcharged us in many areas and still job was left with many future errors that were costly to fix in the end. Got very stressed that the business gave up and left with money in pocket for business and customer out of pocket.

Took short cuts and very unorganised, got stressed out when things got hard. This made customer unhappy and overcharged as not doing as quoted and job completion took longer than expected. I wouldn’t recommend at all. Don't waste your time and money on this business.
