My oven seal broke and needed to be replaced so I contacted Oven Valets. I gave the guy all the details he asked for, including the make and model number of the oven. I booked in a date for him to come out and asked if could clean the oven as well while he was here. He said that wasn't a problem, told me that he would order the part and that it would be in before he came to my apartment.

3 weeks later, on the day I had booked in, he called to tell me he was around the corner and that he would need to park his car somewhere with access to water and electricity. I live in an apartment building with no guest parking and no access to these things in the residential garage. When I told him this he said that he would need to come back another day. I told him I would quickly try and sort something out and call him back as I had organised to be at home specifically for his visit and wasn't sure when I would be able to book him in again. Thankfully, I managed to work something out but then in the lift on the way up to my apartment he tells me that most people usually ask him if he needs access to electricity and water. I don't think he realises that I'm not the one cleaning ovens for a living and that he should be asking customers that upon booking so that these things can be organised in advance.

2 hours later he approaches me to tell me he is finished so I go out to inspect his work and notice, while the oven is amazingly clean, the seal is still broken! When I ask him why it hasn't been replaced he tells me that the part hadn't arrived!!! That was the whole reason I made the booking in the first place, the clean was just an add-on. So not only is my oven seal still broken, I am now $190 poorer. He said he will come back when the part is in. Does he really think I would want to do business with him again?

Poor communication and terrible customer service.
