Dr Xiaoxian Pan is probably the most incompetent and insensitive doctor I have ever visited. She has no knowledge what so ever. I had to explain simple concepts multiple times and yet, she did not have the capacity to grasp it. I suspect it to be an attitude problem not a language barrier. I think for a ‘doctor’, pretending you care is the bare minimum however she spoke rudely and had an attitude. She cut me off multiple times when I was speaking and asked me the same questions over and over. I now know why she had so many bookings open last minute… Don’t bother wasting your time booking an appointment with XiaoXian, her incompetence shocks me. You will get nothing out of the appointment and will just end up wasting your time and money. Would give 0 stars if I could👍🏼

I recently visited Chatswood Medical & Dental centre seeking medical assistance for my father's persistent headache problem. Unfortunately, the service and attitude displayed by Dr. Xiaoxian Pan were profoundly disappointing. I feel compelled to share my experience and highlight the following four aspects that greatly contributed to my dissatisfaction:



1. Irresponsible Diagnosis

As per Dr Pan’s request, my father underwent a brain MRI. The radiologist who reviewed the results found no significant cause for concern and advised monitoring with a follow-up scan in three months. Shockingly, Dr. Pan disregarded the radiologist’s recommendation entirely and insisted that we arrange another scan straight away. This contradictory advice left us feeling anxious and misled. When I sought clarification, Dr. Pan simply responded with "I don't know," failing to provide any valid explanation for her conflicting diagnosis.



2. Failure to Conduct Telehealth Consultation

Despite scheduling a telegraph consultation, Dr. Pan failed to fulfill her commitment. Not only was the consultation delayed, but she never called me at all. This lack of professionalism and respect for patients' time is unacceptable, as it undermines trust and demonstrates a disregard for patient care.



3. Misleading Referral Information

Dr. Pan provided me with a referral letter to consult with a neurologist. However, upon contacting the recommended centre, I discovered that the specialist mentioned in the letter did not exist. This misleading information further highlights the negligence and incompetence of Dr. Pan, raising concerns about the accuracy of her medical practices.



4. Inaccessible and Unresponsive Reception

When I attempted to contact Dr. Pan to verify the details of the specialist, I was forced to wait for nearly two hours on the phone, wasting valuable time. This level of inefficiency and lack of accountability is deeply frustrating and demonstrates a lack of respect for patients' time and concerns.



My overall experience at Chatswood Medical & Dental centre was disheartening, mainly due to the unprofessionalism displayed by Dr. Xiaoxian Pan. Her irresponsible diagnosis, failure to conduct the scheduled telegraph consultation, provision of misleading referral information, and the unresponsiveness of the reception staff have left me with a profound sense of disappointment and frustration.



I strongly advise others to exercise caution when considering this practice for their healthcare needs, particularly when seeking assistance from Dr. Xiaoxian Pan. Patients deserve reliable and competent medical care, which unfortunately was lacking during my visit.

We just arrived in Sydney from the US, and my wife's crown came off during lunch. Dr. Deshpande took her in.and recemented the crown a few hours later. Saved our vacation!
