Hirondelle Private Hospital

Hirondelle has to be the worst health establishment on Gods earth. I am fairly young but needed re-hab after a hip replacement. I was treated like I was senile, had dementia, deaf, totally incapable of completing a form, and an idiot. I caught Covid here. Was given the wrong drugs for a chest infection, after having waited 2 days for them to arrive from Manly. Was charged for a totally illegible X-ray.

Everyone wears blue anything, a nurse told me she was wearing her own T-Shirt! NO ONE wears a badge, NO ONE introduces themselves.

Finally, you are stripped of your name, you are only ever referred to as "DARLING"

If you love bleach, then this is the place for you, as everything stinks of bleach, even the water cups. Which sums up this place. It Stinks!

The complete care provided by Hirondelle is exceptional and I can't recommend highly enough.The nurses are kind and knowledgeable, providing skilled attentive care and the team of physios display encouragement and empathy in equal measure while providing excellent therapy in both the hydrotherapy pool and the gym.

Together with the cleaning and kitchen staff the Hirondelle team work together as a 'family'. I am looking forward to my follow-up treatment as I continue my physiotherery as an outpatient.

The food is fresh, flavoursome and varied, and unlike many hospitals, it is not over salted! While there isn't a cafe nearby a coffee van comes Mon to Fri during visiting hours.

Recently, I was an inpatient at Hirondelle Rehab Hospital. I am now attending outpatients twice a week.
My Cervical, Thoracic and now my Lumbar Spine has been fused and wedged.
As an inpatient I was thoroughly assessed by Doctors and physiotherapists for my rehab programme. Twice a day I had one to one physiotherapy in the gym and then in the afternoon I had hydrotherapy with a physiotherapist in attendance.
I have been re-assessed for outpatients. This now involves a one to one gym programme and hydrotherapy with a physiotherapist in the pool.
I am extremely grateful to the physiotherapists at Hirondelle Rehab. This is the very first time in 3 1/2 years that I have been given a programme to rebuild my posture after incredible surgery.
For the first time my husband was included in discussions for my wellbeing. He was also invited to ask questions. This splendid offer was given to both of us from one of the many physiotherapists at Hirondelle. Dr. Haidary and Dr. Vaseem saw me on a regular basis.
If I could turn back the clock my wish would be that R.N.S.H had sent me to Hirondelle Rehab Hospital.
