Candy Hair

We had a wonderful experience today at the salon. Our 5 year old girl gave herself a haircut so it needed fixing. Crystal was right on time and very attentive. Our daughter is autistic and can become stressed in new environments. Crystal gave herself some extra time and was very caring. We couldnt be happier and will be regular clients from now on.

Terrible experience for my sons first haircut!!!

I'm not normally one to write reviews but to say that I am absolutely disgusted is an understatement!!! Firstly the salon is not as clean and inviting as the pictures that are posted on the website. They definitely need to update these pictures. Secondly we drove over an hour and a half to hopefully be greeted by well trained and professional staff specialising in children's hair styling, which to our disappointment was not the case. The stylist did not engage with our son or try to ease him into his first haircut, she just jumped straight in and seemed to get quite aggitated if our 18month old didn't sit still. She quickly cut his hair in the most awful style which I had correct less than a week after his appointment and made no mistake in taking him to a professional barber closer to home.

Thirdly I was also looking forward to receiving a 'First Haircut' certificate from the salon which also came with a lock of our sons hair. As we were paying for the service and about to leave the store, we were advised that they had run out of certificates and they would send my sons hair along with the completed certificate to my house as we lived so far away. I was reluctant at first as I would be devastated if anything happened to my sons baby hair as a personal keepsake for us for our first and only child. Well, I should've listened to my heart and said no because wouldn't you know it, they have misplaced my sons hair and the certificate. After multiple follow ups it was over a month before this was "resolved" according to the salon. Not one of my phone calls was ever returned with an answer because how do you tell a mother that you have lost her babies lock of hair from his first haircut!! When I was finally given the devastating news I was offered a 25% discount on his next hair cut! The fact is, he no longer has any baby hair to cut, so we no longer have any memories of our only child's first experience!

Ideal for getting small children haircuts. Plenty of distraction with TV monitors and wide range of films to watch while hairdressers snip away. Really friendly staff who understand there is a relatively short window to keeping little ones sitting still so they're pretty quick in getting the job done.

Kids don't leave empty handed either... lollipop and balloon to take home.
