Cheltenham Memorial Park is a Community Focused Cemetery Established in 1933, Cheltenham Memorial Park is a distinctive community cemetery characterised by stately palms, nurtured gardens, extensive lawns and ornate gazebos. The classic garden style-grounds offer a quiet sanctuary for families to reflect on the lives of their loved ones. Amongst the 20 hectares (50 acres) of manicured gardens, many adorned monuments accentuate the cemeteries proud history. The landscaped gardens create a private place of reflection year-round, thanks to a skilled team who work tirelessly to create a place of beauty and solace. To honour the promise and commemoration over many generations, Southern Metropolitan Cemeteries Trust (SMCT) cares for the daily operations of Cheltenham Memorial Park, reporting directly to the Victorian Minister for Health. SMCT is committed to supporting the community in honouring and celebrating their loved one as they choose.

This is a moderate size cemetery that doesnt have much atmosphere because it is surrounded by industry on two sides. It has been spruced up a little in recent years and recently they have been advertising the new availability of mausoleum plots if you are into that kind of thing. For a much more interesting cemetery go the old Cheltenham cemetery near the Cheltenham railway station.
