Sonix Family Entertainment

I just took my son here today for an hour or so entertainment. He has been here before and actually had a birthday party here which he loved. Unfortunately the venue now has an air of neglect about it as close to 50% of the games are out of order, the machines are covered in dust or are badly repaired. An example of this is the "Cycling" games near the eating area where one of the bike seats has lost much of its foam and the other is sticky taped together and not even on straight. One of the "horses" in the horse riding game has lost its head. He played a game of Daytona where the car did not move despite using the accelerator. I mentioned this to one of the assistants who gave us a free game as refund but he did say, "Use this one here as it works." Even downstairs near the stair entrance there are a couple of machines sitting idly out of order.

A few years ago they had a number of great old style pinball machines but sadly these have been moved on. Weirdly there is an unused mini bowling section to the side which is in disrepair. This large area could house some more gaming machines. This establishment has so much going for it as its position is good and it is not dark and dungeon like, like a lot of other arcade places. Unfortunately the lack of basic maintenance and cleaning means it does not hold the same entertainment value for kids. I did notice most of the kids were young, under the age of 10 where I guess they may not notice the problems as easily.
