Great job on fixingi my car dec 2024. Said they would email invoice now end of January 2025 and still haven’t received invoice of work carried out. Happily paid for work but no receipt. Not good we were highly recommended to these people but their business practice leaves a lot to be desired which is a pity they are good at their job. After 3 emails I am still hoping to get invoice Which by law I think they are obliged to issue detailed invoice of work carried out. One can only hope

Absolute garbage car went in over 10 months ago ,after months and months was advised car had been stolen whilst being repaired at Clays Automotive .
After 10 phone calls no money has been repaid , no effort has been made by them for an insurance claim I’m just being ignored ..
Please don’t end up like me without a work car ,
Stay far far far away ……..

I have used Clays for over 20 years now for both private and business vehicles and they have always been able to find and solve my issue. Happy to recommend Clays. Keep up the great work.

I recently had car issues that weren't going away on their own sadly and took the advice of a friend who has been using Clays Auto Electrical repeatedly and happily for over 15 years.. that sounded good enough to me as I particularly hate having my car fixed/serviced as it ALWAYS takes longer than expected and I just can't afford this to happen with the nature of my job... I explained this to the friendly man who served me (turns out he was the owner) and he agreed that this is an annoyance Clays tries hard to avoid.. he provided me with an initial assessment and quote and was able to deliver the desired outcome...on time and for the initial quote price... an impressive effort given the large number of other jobs the boys appeared to have in the shop.. I was delighted by the honest appraisal re time and the teams willingness to work until the problem was solved for me that day....even though it merged beyond work hours a little. Nice guys, friendly place, accurate and knowledgeable advice... highly recommended.. use these guys!! RT

Clays Auto Electrical - Totally Awesome!!!! Highly Recommended :-)
Had an urgent time critical problem with the lights on my motorcycle trailer. As I was driving saw Clay's and pulled in. The owner Andy was fantastic (considering I got him out from under a car he was working on) after I explained the urgency of my problem he stopped the job he was working on and came and looked at my trailer - within 2 minutes he had an idea of what the problem was he then went and got some test equipment and identified the problem, he then explained to me in layman's terms what the drama was and then went on to suggest that it was an easy fix that I could fix myself and save some $$$$. Given Andy's very precise identification of the problem I decided to fix my trailer lights myself. Asked Andy how much I owed him for the testing and fault finding and to my complete surprise NO CHARGE!!!!! very rarely these days do you get service like that with no charge.
Well done Andy you have changed my opinion of Auto Electricians :-)
AAA+ recommend Clays for any Auto Electrical related work.

Went to Clays in desperation as my 1996 Audi was in need for what i was told expensive electrical work. Not omly was the jon 100% to my satisfaction it was inder budget . These guys know how to fault find and repair rather than buy new . Couldnt be more happy

Was referred to Clay's by Jarvis Toyota. Happy with their investigation of the problem. They dealt directly with Jarvis' then communicated directly with us. Fixed problem once OK from Jarvis, promptly. Happy to recommend.

Do yourself a favour and stay away from this supposed auto air-conditioning specialist!
From the original mis-diagnosis with the fault in our air-con, our experience with the owner became an absolute joke!
Our car was in pieces at his workshop for two and a half days as we were manipulated, disregarded and then lied to. We never received a single phone call from this person or his staff, and our attempts to find out what was going on with our car were completely ignored.
Finally, after not being able to contact the person holding our vehicle, we arrived and asked to retrieve our car and negotiate payment.
Our car was then barricaded into the garage by the owner moving his vehicle to block it in.
Always get a quote in writing!
Stay away!
