      At Silkies Rose Farm, Clonbinane, you will find an extensive range of all types of roses.

      Silkies Rose Farm has obtained approval as a Sustainable Garden Centre, which means that Graham & Diana have had the appropriate training to advise you on the best methods available to save water, avoid environmentally damaging pesticides and weedicides, how to compost your waste and provide you with a plethora of information to enable you to be more environmentally aware in your space.

      Spanning the past 29 years... overwhelmingly, a love for the world's favourite flower - the rose! It's about a passionate desire to assist in creating beautiful spaces for the lovely people who share our love of the rose. It's a story about family... we have enjoyed the pleasure of working at different times with each of our four beautiful children and each other; members of our extended family have worked with us over the years - sometimes challenging but always immensely rewarding.

      No we are strictly a Rose Farm.

      Do you offer shipping?

      We can ship to most addresses within Australia. Except to Western Australia and Tasmania because we use a totally organic management program which is incompatible with quarantine restrictions!!!

      Possibly the weirdest online transaction ever

      I have ordered from this business several times before and been very happy with the results. This time though - oh boy!!! I ordered the wrong kind of rose. Asked to cancel order and then planned to reorder correct kind. Was asked to transfer funds into an account to cover the cost difference but I declined (sounds like a scam - how do I know this is right account etc - initial payment made by credit card) then was charged 5% to cancel and told money could not be refunded without my bank account details.

      When I called to unravel this weird situation I received a serious lecture about how much time had been spent on a $42 rose. Then was quizzed about whether I knew the location of business, the weather report there and what the owner was going through (no, no and no, just trying to fix up my order!)

      I was asked not to contact again which I am very happy to comply with. Still not quite sure what I've done wrong apart from call "out of hours" (at 3:30pm on Monday) but there you have it.

      Obviously a difficult time and stressful situation for this business so best avoid this one!

      I did mention I would write a review hoping that it might mean that the issue could be sorted. My saying this led to being told she has an excellent reputation, she is a nice woman and I was welcome to write my "little report". I leave it to anyone who has bothered reading this far to make up their own mind and highly recommend that you order the right thing first time as it seems difficult in the extreme to fix it if you get it wrong!

      Outstanding

      Super efficient, thank you. I was surprised and pleased to see the package after only a few days. Perfectly packed and with detailed instructions and "rescue remedy".

      A rose similar to this ( I think it is the same) was grown by my family in Ireland through many generations and has been passed down to the current one. I am growing it and will put this one in here and order some more for the next generation incase my cuttings fail! It was always called th Tuamgraney rose. Many thanks,Edna
