Wheel Barrow Lodge

Another visit to Wheelbarrow Lodge. Why do I go back? Its simply the tranquility youre away from the hustle and bustle of the big smoke.

John, your host, really makes you feel at home.

Rooms are quite large and contain a queen sized bed, lots of storage for clothes and have cable TV and all have an en suite. There are also tea and coffee making facilities. There is plenty of light from the large windows and access to the balcony which overlooks the bushland. The decor of the rooms is very tasteful.

Eating at Wheelbarrow Lodge is an absolute pleasure. You are catered for to the fullest. Breakfast, lunch or dinner, courses are in abundance and it gets a chore sometimes to be able to put all that delicious food away!

Ive been there in Summer and Winter, so whether its warm and you can walk about the property and experience the wonderful bushland and its animals, or in the chillier months, spend time inside taking in a bit of TV and experiencing the warmth of the wood fires.

An ideal place to stay if youre in the area or you can easily book.

It definitely is my home away from home.

Exceeds all expectations. A fabulous place to totally unwind, relax and shake away the rat race of the city.

This was truly a getaway and relaxing place! Loved the farmyard. Lovely spacious cosy comfortable bedrooms and ensuites. Slept like a log! Breakfast enormous and dinner a delight. Would go again.
