Great experience with BCI (I am a repeat customer) for building inspections. I recommend them to family and friends as they are experts and very helpful. Doug the inspector was happy to answer our random building questions as we thought of them too and suggest cure methods too. At the end of their report is a list of 20+ recommended vetted tradies to fix issues you may have. This tradie appendix alone is also worth the value



I would HIGHLY recommend (and have done so 10's of time over the 20 years I have used their expert services.

If you want to waste money and time go with this company as they are so unprofessional.on inspection they missed so many things and by worst they delivered my report after 3 days. When called about missing things they dint mentioned on report they said will go back again, week passed still waiting for my final report. Worst experience I ever had lost money and time as I wish I should hired someone more professional who can deliver report in timely manner.

Choosing BCI to conduct a pre-purchase building inspection was one of the biggest and now most costly mistakes of my life. Despite requesting special attention to specific areas of the building, the report came back with a clean bill of health. We are now spending thousands rectifying these issues. My wife is in tears and we are now considering placing the property back on the market for a substantial loss.

We found B.C.I to be an excellent and thorough Building Consultancy and Inspection team. The service from start to finish was professional and thorough. Every person in the team we spoke to was highly efficient and helpful. Our report from Ian was very thorough with lots of helpful suggestions for our 80's reno house. We had two reports for two separate homes which helped us in making our decision. We are very happy with the house we chose and comfortable the improvements we want to make to our home are achievable. We have kept Ian's report to assist with changes we make as he gave some excellent suggestions and advice in the report. Very happy home owners, very happy with the service we received.

I would like to thank B.C.I. on their amazing service that was provided . I found them very professional and very helpful with any queries I had regarding the survey on a house that we were buying. It was a very big and old house that had lots of nooks and at times were really difficult to get in to. However Ian the surveyor was excellent. He managed to get in to all the areas, in the roof and under the house.( some were a bit of a tight squeeze).
I found that the inspection was carried out with precision and accuracy. The report was highly descriptive and hugely informative. The job took way longer than either of us expected and there was no issue with the surveyor staying longer to complete the inspection. I went to meet him at the house and he kindly went through the report verbal before sending the completed report to me. He talked through the whole house in great detail and this was another hour. I could not believe how friendly and efficient he was.
Excellent service and I would recommend B.C.I to my family and friends.

Shocking service!
Was recommended this business as a 'premium' inspector, as I was buying an older house, and thought higher cost would equal better attention to detail and information. Wrong. There were multiple failings in communication, which meant that ultimately I never received any information about the inspection until after the legal deadline for review which I was clear to communicate at the start. Also, I was never contacted by the inspector, as promised and covered below, in regards to the review. This oversight could have cost me a fortune if there was something wrong with the property, in the end, I was lucky that there were only minor defects. But they really left me out to dry.
Wouldn't touch them with a barge pole! Not reliable!
