Always Good

I drive an old 1970s Holden that runs on petrol and gas. Laszlo is the *only* mechanic I have ever taken it to that got the car running well on both.

Most other mechanics get it running well on petrol but then when I switch to LPG for long trips, the car has no power.

Laszlo got it to the best mix of both. I've also always found him to be a reasonable price.

Don't trust Laszlo

Don't trust him!

I leave my car to him for reparation over a long week end, where everything was closed, only Lazlo was open to receive our car, but not to fixed during the week end until next business day. Then I have to come back to my city with my whole family by another transportation (expensive, I cancel my Jindabyne holidays, not refundable money, etc, bad week end)

He replaced the water pump, because it was broken, but then he said that he have to repair the head gasket, and other things. The quote was huge, more than $4000.

With this huge quote, I started to talk with my local mechanic, who gave a smaller quote, but if I added to that quote the transportation cost of my car, will be equivalente to what Lazlo said to me.

Then I said to him, go ahead, but when I said that he mentioned that could be more expensive if he found more stuff. So I decided to return the car to my city using a transport from Lazlo’s door to my mechanic’s doors. (Not cheap, more than $500 just in transportation)

My local mechanic checked the car, and he couldn't find anything wrong. So in a nutshell, Lazlo took advantage of the whole situation, that I live 4 hours away from Cooma, my car was on Cooma for a couple of weeks, and he try to charge as much as he could.

So, basically it was only the water pump, the head gasket was in perfect condition.

Be aware of this guy.
