I have been going to IGA in Craigie since it was owned by Dewsons many years ago. I have been a local customer since even before the young girl on the first counter was even born.Recently you changed the front counters which I admit look quite good but thats where it all ends. What a disaster!. Ever since I can remember you had a front cigarette counter. Now its gone. On Sunday 23rd March I waited to be served at the front of your shop where for the last 20 plus years I would always wait along with other people who only wanted cigarettes.

Eventually I was told that in future I had to enter the shop through the turn styles at the other end of your shop and join the line of other people who might have a dozen or so items each. I explained that there might be 6 people or more with a dozen or more items and all I need to purchase was one item. I did not want to wait for up to 100 items to be processed by multiple customers that can take up to 8 minutes just to purchase one item within hands reach behind the counter that would take less than 30 seconds.The girl serving me simply replied.......''We dont do that now because we have changed things''

After getting home I decided to call your store manger for confirmation of your giant step backwards alas without success. In all the years prior to your recent take over your telephone has always been answered in good time. I rang your store 5 times over a 3 hour period and no one answered before a pre recorded message explained that no one was available to take the call.

I have always tried to be a loyal customer to IGA even through the reputation of having the highest prices on many items ,(Including cigarettes), but it seems that its all been one sided.

For your record I am retirement age and most of the local people in my age group have shared similar disappointments with me and their reasons for shopping elsewhere.

Your closest opposition is located a mere 3 minutes drive away in Bellridge where I am always made to feel appreciated for trading with them and YES.. They still have a cigarette counter for

single purchases of tobacco.
