Phone contact system is abysmal

Each time we try to contact you we only have that one number to contact 13 13 14; we are not able to obtain the direct number of our branch. It is impossible to get the information that you need from your ANZ branch as you can only respond to a recorded voice. When we received large amounts of money from sale of investment properties a couple of years ago, and we tried to contact ANZ to see what investment rates we could receive for those large deposits, we could only speak to the recorded voice. That wasn't the case with the CBA so that it where our large deposits are now held. This is a constant frustration we, and other customers have, with the ANZ phone system. There needs to be an option for customers who phone in, to be able to talk with a "real" staff member to get the information which we need.
