Openica Logistics

I had to arrange transport of a rare non-running car from South Australia to Sydney mid-2016. I was overseas at the time, and did this whole thing from the distance so wanted a company with a reasonable reputation. Openica was not the cheapest, but seemed to have a better reputation than other providers - so I selected them.

I remained in contact with a lady at Openica named Nicole, who was very helpful and communicative whenever I emailed/called. Although it took a bit longer than expected to get the car (just over the expected 2 weeks), it all arrived safe and well (including some expensive items which I risked placing inside the car).

The pickup guy turned up on time as requested, and the dropoff was coordinated at a time to suit - despite no 'guarantees' being given that my dates would be adhered to. I will note that I did particularly stress the importance of my pickup date (as the seller of the car took a day off work to be there - which made it important that it was picked up on that day).

All in all, money well spent, because I got exactly what I wanted - safe delivery of the car and items inside.

My tips: Communication is important with these companies - Keep in contact with the salesperson you speak with initially, as they can give you updates on where the car is, whether pickup / dropoff dates can be met, etc, and are generally very helpful (in my personal experience).

Damaged my classic 1961 Holden. Then offered me a measley $50 in "good faith" to repair it. Lost the car keys and paperwork with a sub contractor. Would never use them to ship another one of my cars ever again.

Had my Jet ski transported over the Christmas period up to tweeds. They told me it may be a longer period of time as it was busy but they delivered it within a week. Was happy that i had it for the summer!!

Was going on a holiday and Openica delivered my camper van to cairns for me - so i didn't have to drive it up with my screaming kids!! Steve at Melbourne made everything easy and smooth going. thanks

Requested quotes twice from this company with no response at all... Don't waste your time as others companies will respond to enquiries...
