"My Experience with Helloworld Dandenong"



I have been dealing with Helloworld Dandenong for over 10 years, but my most recent experience was extremely stressful and disappointing.



In July this year, I booked family tickets from Melbourne to Dubai, then Kabul, and back. When we reached Dubai, we were shocked to find that my daughter’s name was not even listed on the flight to Kabul. This caused huge stress and pain for us, and only at the very last minute were we able to get it fixed.



On our return journey from Kabul to Melbourne via Brunei, our tickets clearly showed 40kg baggage allowance per person. We boarded in Kabul with 40kg per person without issue. However, when we arrived in Brunei for our 3-night stopover and then tried to continue to Melbourne, we were suddenly told that our allowance was only 25kg per person. This was disastrous — we were left with 15kg excess per bag and were asked to pay an outrageous $2,690 in excess fees.



We were shocked and had no idea what to do. After making roughly 15–20 calls to Helloworld Dandenong, things got even worse — they initially *blocked my calls* and even told the airline counter staff to make us pay for the excess luggage. Only after 60 minutes, when they realised I wasn’t giving up, did they finally call back and attempt to resolve the issue. In the meantime, my family and I had to spend over 3.5 hours stranded at the airport under enormous stress.



This entire experience has been a nightmare and a betrayal of the trust I had built with them over the years.



👉 therefore, I do not recommend this travel agent. Stay away from them if you want hassle-free travel, especially when they promise you extra baggage allowance from overseas.
