How environmentally sensitive is LPG?
LPG occurs naturally, or is produced as a by product of oil refining. On a unit energy basis, it produces less carbon dioxide than is emitted from coal-fired power stations, oil or wood fuels. Carbon dioxide is a major contributor to global warming. In auto gas, LPG produces less carbon monoxide and hydrocarbons than petrol engines, which helps to address health and smog issues.
What is LPG?
LPG stands for liquefied petroleum gas which describes propane and butane gases. When stored under pressure, they become a liquid in much less space, making LPG easy to transport.
Can I use LPG in natural gas appliances or vice-versa?
No, each type of gas requires different amounts of oxygen to burn properly, so different burners are needed in the appliances. All gas installations and conversions must be carried out by a licensed gasfitter.
What is the difference between LPG and natural gas?
They are similar in terms of usage, but natural gas is not easily compressed for storage and transported as a liquid and therefore is not economically available in many applications.
Is LPG the gas used in barbecues?
Yes, It is also used in space heaters, hot water heating systems, cookers and other commercial and household applications.
Is LPG used to fuel motor vehicles?
Yes, but it's a different blend of Propane and Butane, so it's not compatible with other gas appliances as it can be very harmful to humans in enclosed spaces.

You won't find Agas National LPG prices online because it's a product that's traded on the world market, where prices fluctuate in response to changes in supply, demand and currency exchange rates. I've dealt with a lot of residential gas companies over the last 20 years in different properties but never dealt with such unprofessional and unhelpful customer service. A gas fitter also confirmed my concerns about their product and provided advice on more reliable providers.

I have recently had a gas cylinder replaced on my property and the driver has caused serious damage to my property at multiple locations (refer to photos).
I have been now going back and forth with Samantha who is the Agas supervisor for several weeks demanding the damage to be repaired.
They first offered me 3 free gas refills which I declined as I wanted the damage repaired.
They then agreed to organise a handyman to come to the house to assess the damage and then pay for the repairs. The damage was quoted and they have declined to fix the damages (decking and concrete)!
The matter was escalated to the GM of the area who is refusing to pay to fix my deck even though this was verbally agreed to on the phone when I declined the free gas cylinders.
He claims that it’s too much money and will not pay! They then offered me $1000 refund which doesn’t even come close to the quote they received .. another slap in the face. The GM has not attempted to make any contact with me and Samantha has refused to give me any contact details.
This matter is ongoing however I believe users deserve to know how quickly this company will refuse to fix any damages done to your property even after admitting fault!
This matter will be taken further.
“Agas National - All about customer service” that is an absolute disgrace if you believe you deserve to put this in your branding.

After calling for “same day delivery” and being told I missed the window.
I then understood my order would be delivered the next day. I ended up not getting gas for the entire weekend because 3 FAILURES on their part.
1. The agent took my account information and my payment (she entered the wrong address)
2. At 3pm I call to confirm the delivery and confirm the address. Get told everything is fine will be there before 4pm
3. The driver goes to Beenleigh instead of bahrs scrub. Instead of calling or confirming address they don’t communicate anything and the driver runs off.
I call at 5pm Friday to understand why my gas isn’t delivered to be told the driver attempted but couldn’t find the address. NO CALL, NO MAKING IT RIGHT, NO EMERGENCY TANK
A FAMILY OF 5 LEFT WITHOUT ANY COOKING OR WATER, due to total and complete incompetence.
Instead of making it right in anyway I get offered a free 8kg cylinder Monday and when refused I get hung up on.
When speaking to a manager then get told it’s unfortunate but due to someone in training making the error.
Look back and understand their system failed 3X
The “your not a number your family” is complete lies as they will treat you like absolute dirt with ZERO COMPASSION OR CUSTOMER SERVICE

I joined up with Lara & her team the other day & it was an absolute pleasure. Not only were they all very polite, I could understand everything they said & explained to me. The driver was very polite & informative explaining his procedure which these days is very rare. Then came the price the cheapest I've ever found & no hidden costs. Just so happy

they assisted me in connecting gas to my property and organised the delivery for the day we moved in so we were able to use the gas that night. the staff were lovely to deal with and very helpful. highly recommended

Massive appreciation for this company. They're local, down to earth, keep their prices more than fair and employ really great people. I can't fault the delivery drivers and I've built up a relationship with my account manager over the year I've been a customer to a point she remembers my name! She's approachable, honest and I trust if she tells me something it's legit. by employing the best staff it gives me confidence in how the company operates. They care about their people, customers and the community they operate in and I'll support a biz with that philosophy. good on you Agas. I'm glad Tenika was pleasently persistent with telling me what you guys could offer and that I made the move to you.
