Dreadful Colour match, Poor Customer service.

My New car (at the time) was sent to Filefinish to repair a Front Left Hand guard that was hit by a third party. They come highly recommend at the time. Unfortunately the result was not acceptable. The colour match was off, a rather yellow looking tinge that was plainly obvious. Upon having a subsequent issue where a senior gentlemen reversed into my car I retuned it to Filefinish as it was a perfect opportunity for them to rectify the guard whilst repairing the Front bumper. I thought I was doing them a favour, after it was being repaired, they would have the paint, the time, minimal out of pocket impact for them.

How wrong was I.

Afters waiting three months for the repair date, I call them the day before I bring the car in, (I had booked a rental and organised time off work, for my wife and I to drop it off) I call to be told, "Sorry we have no parts, we only order 3 days before and the supplier doesn't have anything until next week". Why didn't you call? What would have happened if i turned up in the morning with the rental car?. No response, just sorry, YOU will have to reschedule. great service!!!

Then I was expecting next week, nope, "The Next available date is late April", over a month later. Great, no priority here.

OK when I go and pick the car up it was delayed, repeatedly. 2 weeks later they had repaired the front bumper, and it's colour doesn't match the car, and they DIDN'T respray the guard. Totally left it yellow. Now the bumper colour looks a lot better the guard, its acceptably close, BUT why didn't they respray the guard! Apparently "we don't think we could do a better job than what we have done". WHAT? you did on the bumper. why not do the guard... And that's it, they said we cant help, bye, thanks for the $8000 odd dollars in repairs.. Just terrible.

PS, Please don't believe the lie painters claim plastic colours never match the metal guards, look at a Tesla or a Ferrari or any car that is sprayed by a true professional. It's amazing how they manage to get it right for these cars, an extra coat or 2 will cover the different base colour).

10 out of 10 customer service, 10 out of 10 workmanship. Results of my front bumper respray was absolutely perfection. Highly recommended for anyone's pride and joy. These guys rock

I shall never return to File Finish as they like to take your money but not warrant their work. Shame, shame, shame. It's companies like this that make the good ones look ordinary.
