Yarra Bend is a medium length, medium-level difficulty public course on land that is in a river valley. I have played it about 15 times. It is a challenging course close to the city yet you can hear bellbirds as you play. I like the 8 iron onto the 15th that asks you the big question. Also the starting hole is a fair test to begin with. The drive on the par 5 second is testing with a big drop to the left. After a lot of rain it stays wet because it is next to the Yarra river so is built on river mud. One thing I don't like about it is that it gets very busy and lots of beginners. If you are considering this course you might also consider Thornbury, Albert Park, Brighton, Sandringham, Cheltenham, Kingston Links, or Waterford Valley.
