I strongly urge anyone considering B&D Carpets Galore to think twice before proceeding, particularly if dealing with David.
David sold me flooring for multiple properties that developed widespread defects, including gapping and shrinkage. These issues arose despite the product being promoted as having a lifetime structural warranty.
David was entirely responsible for recommending the product, selling it, and organizing the installers. But when problems emerged, he quickly distanced himself, claiming it was a "supply only" transaction because the installers no longer work for him.
When challenged, David’s responses were not only evasive but, at times, threatening. He made statements clearly intended to pressure and intimidate, including suggesting that if he chose to walk away, I would be left without any idea where to begin with resolving the issue. This kind of conduct has no place in a professional setting.
While he repeatedly claimed he was “trying to assist,” his actions told a different story. He requested information that should have been in his own records and even floated the idea of preparing paperwork after the fact - raising serious concerns about integrity and accountability.
As a long-term customer, I found this experience deeply troubling. After years of loyalty, I expected better, not deflection, intimidation, and an unwillingness to stand behind the product or the service.
Disappointingly, my situation appears to reflect a broader pattern. Several other google reviews point to similar experiences involving blame-shifting and poor after-sales support.
This matter has now been escalated to Fair Trading.
If you value professionalism, accountability, and customer support, I recommend looking elsewhere. I would not trust this business again.
