Patels Pharmacy

I've been going to this pharmacy since the 90's, and can easily day it's the best, kindest and most dear to me in all of Melbourne as I discovered only ten years ago (to my huge surprise!) that my own family, The Heywood's, were the creators of this wonderful community chemist! After being a customer there since I was a teenager I was utterly shocked to discover that my family were instrumental in making this pharmacy what it is today, which is a cool, kind, relaxed and highly open minded pharmacy who deserve all the credit in the world for the great works they do and have done over the years with customers who needed clean equipment, which prevented so much disease and infection, I can't even imagine how many lives they have saved over the years. In the 80s and 90s they would happily supply people for free, something the government should have been doing, but instead, this wonderful little pharmacy didn't cash in on people's needs, they helped out, for free (more often than not).

Thank you to Mr and Mrs Patel, I hope to visit again one day just to say hi. Sending many thanks and kind regards for everything you have done with your work, I admire you greatly and am honoured to be connected to this business with my family.

They are so lovely and always available to help you . They’ve been Fitzroy for years and have a local following ! Highly recommended.

I stacked it really bad on my Longboard, and came in for a band-aid. Sarah personally patched me up and gave me a jellybean. It was much more than I expected from any pharmacy, I really appreciated it.

Felt very safe, looked after and not judged.. i frequent this pharmacy, even tho i live suburbs away.. they're always actually happy to be helping ppl!
