Quality Job!

I've had all my cars tinted at Oztint over the years and you cant beat their quality workmanship and customer service, there's a reason they have been in business for so long!

Highly Recommended!

Rude, arrogant & no concept of customer service

I would not recommend OzTint Five Dock if you value quality work that lasts & friendly, professional service.

In December 2018 I was quoted for 2 vehicles & went to have the tint work done. It was ok, but nothing special & not as good in terms of the job, experience or customer service as past jobs by Solartint.

In October 2019 the Audi A5 I had tinted had a peel starting in the tint - from the very top right outer edge - on the inside of the driver door.

After contacting OzTint they advised I could come in for a warranty repair.

The day I was due to take the car in, after booking in, confirming & receiving a text confirmation, I got a phone call from a very unprofessional man who asked me if I was still coming in (yes, as confirmed several times) & if I could maybe come in at a different time, or actually, could I just not come at all, as none of the cars he had booked in had turned up & they were just standing around & they didn’t want to wait around for me just for a warranty job & they wanted to close early..

So I, the customer, was an inconvenience. Ok...

When I was able to take the car in 2 weeks later, I pulled in & had only just opened my car door & hadn’t event exited the car before a young, extremely rude & smug guy approached me, stood over me & stated this would not be a warranty job.

No greeting, no discussion, no explanation, just shirking the warranty job straight out.

I was shocked at his attitude & delivery & asked him to explain, to which he said the tint was not peeled, but had ‘been hit by something & the warranty is voided.’ (Whilst rolling his finger over the peel & I watched it roll more & drop off).

I disagreed as it was clearly peeling & asked him how we would know that it had been ‘hit by something’, if he had any evidence & how on earth anything could have ‘hit’ my window - on the inside of the car - and left no other mark, other than some peeling / rolling tint.

This guy had zero idea of how to speak to customers & was extremely argumentative, rude, smug & unreasonable.

I have a background in law, know my rights & am well versed in good customer service. I asked him if this was what he considered fair behaviour & good service & he then said the window was also scratched & that also voided the warranty - I asked how it was scratched & he said ‘the car did it’.

Ok, so you applied shoddy tint & somehow, imaginary inside flying pebbles that peel tint got it & now my car is also somehow to blame.

I was not born yesterday. Why offer a warranty if you’re going to go to every excuse not to honour it?

I would have been happy to just drive out, go elsewhere & pay for a whole new, quality tint job at this point, but I’d gone out of my way to get the car here & been told it would be no issue & why should people be able to be bullies like this without being called out? You run a business, learn customer service skills.

When I pointed out that it was clearly peeled & none of any of this was the fault of me, the customer, but I was willing to leave & not get the warranty job done based on his dreadful attitude & service he said he would do it - ‘but if it was ever scratched again...’

So now, not only are you argumentative & rude with no concept of customer service, you’re now threatening me about something I, not my car, did.

Don’t worry mate, I will definitely never be back!

Apart from the initially average job, this place has the worst after care service I have ever experienced & the manager should be ashamed of himself & how he treats people. Blaming a customer is never acceptable. Trying to intimidate a woman on her own to get out of honouring a warranty job is also disgusting.

In case he’d like to know, the way to deal with any issue is to listen, acknowledge & come to a mutual resolution. Not blame, accuse & threaten.

On returning to pick up my car the ‘manager’ didn’t even acknowledge me & sent
