Thrifty Car Rental

Too many problems with this place.

1. I had a small car pre booked for 3 days but when I went to collect I was told all small and medium cars had been let out and was shown a large family hybrid that I was uncomfortable with so declined and got a taxi home. Later that day I was told a small car was available and I picked it up.

The car was great, the inconvenience in getting it was not so .

2. When I returned the car, I had filled tank before leaving my home and could see there was about $5.00 worth gone when I got to Thrifty yard.

The girl dealing with me said their petrol costs were high and I would be up for around $$15-$18.00.

I did not wish to drive out to find a petrol station so accepted this huge mark up.

Inside the office she looked on the computer and informed me I would actually have to pay $23.60.

I was not happy, but agreed as I could not stand further hassle .

I have just been emailed my invoice and have been charged $36.00 . This is dishonest, if I had been told this cost I would certainly have driven to a petro station and got the $5.00 worth the car needed.
