They dont even deserve one star. When you ask for peas with gravy and the attendant repeats so peas carrots and gravy?, you correct her peas and gravy. Only to receive peas. 1St time ive been there definately the last

After hearing all the rave reviews and excitement about chicken cave reopening a friend and I decided to try it for lunch. We ordered 2 chicken schnitzel packs, one with gravy and one without. Unfortunately when we got back we opened them to find they both had gravy. They were also not great even aside from that. The schnitzels tasted like the cheap pre made ones you buy at the supermarket and the chips were undercooked and soggy. They were also very expensive for the size and quality at $12 a piece. We will not be returning.

Unfortunately after 28 years as a loyal customer of Chicken Cave, after tonight's experience I won't be returning ever again. It was 8:27pm when we parked outside and all the lights were still on and people appeared to still be cooking. Someone was inside waiting to collect their food, and one of the workers was mopping the floor. We were about three steps from the door and the lady with the mop looked at us, shrugged her shoulders and closed the door in our faces. The trading hours aren't displayed anywhere on the store, so either they closed at 8pm and were very late closing (in which case she should have poked her head around the door and said 'sorry, we've actually stopped cooking already') or they closed at 8.30pm and just wanted an early minute. Either way, clearly in their year of being closed after the fire, they have forgotten what customer service is, so they don't deserve any business despite having the best chips in Adelaide. Goodbye Chicken Cave.
