Canberra Spits is a disgrace! I booked and cancelled an item within a week and cancelled it 7 weeks before my event and was charged the full price. What kind of place doesn't have a small percentage downpayment?? A dodgy, scheming, manipulative "read the fine print" shifty business, that's who.

Worst service went to pick up 12.45 and noone there rung couple times to see what was going on then told they are in sydney ask for a refund and simply told no terrible service

Save yourself the hassle of dealing with them and go somewhere else for your hiring needs. We hired a slushie maching for our wedding and when I asked how much for delivery and collection I was advised they wouldnt charge for this. The morning of the wedding, less than 2 hours before the ceremony was to start, the slushie machine was dropped off. No instructions and no help setting up/plugging in. Then at 8.20am the morning after we left for our honeymoon, I received a phone call from them stating that we needed to meet them at the end of the driveway for them to collect the slushie machine as they wouldnt be driving up the gravel driveway (which was impossible as we had already left). I then copped a lot of flack and attitude about the road (4km of gravel) and was advised they would now charge for collection. From the beginning I was happy to pay for drop off and collection, but I wasnt happy to have such a frustrating time trying to arrange collection with the rude driver the first morning of our vacation.

I have hired out equipment for private parties and have also used them for work functions.
All equipment is delivered and picked up and payment can be easily made over the phone.
I will definitely be using Canberra Spits & Party Hire throughout the holiday period and couldnt recommend them highly enough.
