GOODYEAR ALMOST HOSPITALISED MY WIFE!!!!

On 07 Feb I had new wheels and Tyres installed by Goodyear. Less than one week later on 12 Feb the rear left wheel fell off whilst I was driving home from work. I called Goodyear and they offered to assess and repair. This cost me approximately $500 for labour and a new rim. The explanation they gave was that someone had tried to tamper with my wheels, which I accepted not knowing any better.

On 17 Mar the same occurred with the front right wheel whilst my wife was driving on the highway at 110 km/hr. Thankfully she stopped and called NRMA. They found the wheel hanging on by one nut! THANKFULLY, she stopped and didn’t end up cartwheeling down the highway in a 2 tonne truck.

I called Goodyear and they offered the same excuse. They also would not move the vehicle and repair for free. I subsequently had an independent inspection conducted by Ford which found the wheel nuts over tightened and missing hub rings.

ALL I WANT IS MY WORKING TRUCK!

Goodyear are still yet to respond apart from a condescending voicemail stating I was wrong. Goodyear still have not offered a solution for repair of the vehicle or reimbursement.
