Over the phone I was told parts are under $100 and quoted $145 for the call out fee including 15 minutes. The rude staff member went exactly one minute over without my consent and had the gall to quote $475 for parts. He charged me $25 for one minute and I didn't consent to that.



I feel utterly violated by these scummy practices. It's a nonprofit fridge holding food for people doing it tough. You people are the lowest of the low. Please stop giving false quotes over the phone and please don't go over the call out fee without express consent from the client.

When a small business doesnt refund you for a wrong part you know there is a problem especially when its combined with a rude and arrogant attitude.And they wonder when people buy online.

The fish always rots from the head down.

When the boss doesn't have any customer skills, what else can the staff learn.

I have been arguing with Northside Appliance Spares and Repairs, for nearly a year now to fix our dishwasher. Alas despite taking the complaint to the Office of Fair Trading (who advised they are obliged to repair or replace the dishwasher), and advising them of my predicament (single mum to four children about to undergo six months of chemotherapy) they are still dragging their feet and I have been unable to find out what is happening. The Office of Fair Trading has advised my only option now is to send them a letter of demand and take them to court. Considering what journey I am about to embark on, I don't know if I will have the energy for the fight.

I have been a long term customer of Northside appliance centre - excellent support and Laurent is a competent technician and very helpful with a difficult manufacturer.
I would thoroughy recommend them - my earlier experience was with the manufacturers representative - and now that was challenging. Thanks guys for the support

I will never use this company again and cannot recommend them to anyone. I booked a service call for Monday and was told the technician would come between 12.30 and 4.30pm. I took the day off work and made other appointments for myself in the morning. The technician rang me at 8.30am to say he would be there in a half an hour. I explained that I was told he would come after 12.30 and that I was on my way out the door to another appointment that couldn't be changed. He said he would come later. At about 2.30pm I rang him back to check he was still coming, and he said no, he wasn't coming today and that the office was going to call me to re-arrange a time. I rang their office and they knew nothing about it. So I cancelled the whole thing. They have a problem with their communication and bookings. I am only giving them 1 star because I have to - I would prefer to give them none.

Northside Appliance is absolutely wonderful!! Just picked up my vacuum after getting the wheel fixed, it's absolutely perfect and all the guys I saw (both dropping off and picking up) were just delightful. Absolutely made my Saturday morning to be greeted with a smile and they did a great job.

After spending 99 on a call out fee we got quoted 260 to fix out washing machine. After. 1 month wait they finally got the part. We get booked and it looked like we finally was going to get our washing machine fixed.....well so we thought no they had booked the wrong mechanic. This has to been the worst company I've ever had to deal with. I'm now 99 worst off and my washing still isn't fixed. Avoid this company. If they decide to rectify this I will update this review but I seriously doubt they care about any customer

I have never seen a man love his job more than Laurent from Northside Appliance Spares and Repairs. He was both professional and delightful, leaving the kids and I grinning from ear to ear after fixing our stove.
