We arrived at Oaks Oasis expecting to book in to a 2 bedroom apartment, which was not the case. Mind you I had rung the resort to confirm our booking(that I payed for in October last year) one week prior, They were expecting us and there was no mention of a Duel key apartment.
With this dual key apartment we were expected to leave our 8yr old son in a apartment by himself. So we were given 2 separate apartments, one we couldn't use. We couldn't expect our son to stay in a separate apartment on our family holiday that we had been waiting so long for. The water park was closed from when we arrived (Wed) until Friday afternoon. We were told it was due to putting up sunshades and heating water, none of which happened. Then on Saturday and Sunday we were overwhelmed by the amount of people (public patrons) who had full access of the facilities,( spa, pool) . We were unable to use this park and other facilities like the spa unless it was afternoon or early morning. There were continuous birthday parties over the weekend. When we inquired about reserving a table at the water park for lunch we were told, quite bluntly (even as paying customers of the resort) "if there are no seats due to overcrowding by public we would have to sit in the sun" and no apology followed.
There was no recollection by staff or anything recorded about our late check out offered in our package. I had to show confirmation emails in order to get this. On top of all this disappointment the air-conditioner in the bedroom leaked huge amounts of water. We're very fortunate that our electrical items( chargers and tablets) were in a separate bag to our luggage. The situation was explained to reception but nothing was done to fix it and was told they would fix it after we leave. The smell, by the time we left, was disgusting and on our last night we couldn't sleep in this room and we were all forced to sleep in the smaller apartment that was provided. This resort was by far the worst I have stayed at.
