I was very grateful to have a year of counselling from Lisy during a very difficult time in my life.

Through support, discussion and guidance I was shown ways to heal and overcome. I was given many thought provoking questions and strategies that helped me develop the skills I needed.

I came to Lisy after experiencing troubles at home with my family. I was full of hate and anger, and didn't want anything to do with my parents. When I began to see Lisy, I was taught how to deal with my emotions and learnt to react to situations better. At the time I had left home to stay with my grandparents. After just a few sessions with Lisy, I felt comfortable opening up, she was so understanding and empathetic yet still enabled me to see all my issues from a different perspective. I have now moved back home and my relationship with my family has improved so much. If it weren't for Lisy, I dont think I ever would have dealt with my problems properly. I 100% recommend Lisy's services, I'm only 18 and I feel like alot of people my age dont even think about seeing a counsellor because it's 'embarrassing', but its all confidential and really professional. Lisy builds a relationship with you and makes you her number 1 priority.

After a year of trying to cope with the death of my husband alone, I was advised to seek counselling. I chose Resting Place Counselling Service. Lisy, my Resting Place counsellor, was absolutely amazing. She was very professional, compassionate, experienced and committed. The journey together was difficult at times and challenging, however with her honesty and knowledge she helped me overcome many obstacles and gave me the necessary tools to aid in my continued progress with the grief and the loss of my husband. My husband and I came to Resting Place Counselling Service for marriage counselling. It was the first experience of marriage counselling for both of us. While we found the counselling to be very challenging and hard work, we found Lisy, (the Resting Place counsellor), to be experienced, insightful and compassionate.
