This is the best Laurent caf In my opinion. I've been to several others in the Eastern Suburbs (i.e. Camberwell, Ivanhoe, Balwyn, Doncaster, Toorak, and City) but this is our favourite because they have a very nice open area / terrace at the back of the caf.
Food is good here, but of course it's the cakes that are our favourite. My wife loves the rainbow cake and I love the passion fruit tart. The coffee is nothing amazing (this is not the place for great coffee given the alternatives in the immediate are) but it is certainly a wonderful place for coffee and cake in a nice setting.
