Great British Fryer

Had family over and decided to try the great british fryer, looked at the menu online and sounded great, went down and ordered the battered cod, the chilli & cheese chips the chilli burger, chips with curry, and the 4 piece scampi piece pack well the fish was soaked in oil when opening the paper package, the chips were hand made but not cooked how they should be and half of them were half cooked, the curry was great but unfortunately didn't mask the chips. The chilli cheese chips were just hot and in my opinion we should have had an option of a medium heat or hot but i guess you get what they make without warning but also were all stuck together in a blob not very appertising, The scampi pieces were a comercial mismatch of shellfish meat in a small ball which had no flavour and were overpriced, the burger from the menu was a burger with chesse "SOME" onion rings and chilli con carne, well all i can say "YUK" the bun was hard the meat pattie itself wasn't bad the chilli again HOT and one small onion ring so in total we spent for lunch was $70 and we had to wait for 20 mins which didn't come out in one order but three different lots, well do we think it was worth the giving a go "NO" in my family's opinion it was a terrible lunch will we go back again? Only for the curry sauce that we can pour over My home made chips

What a rip off paid $10 for a large chips and gravy with extra chicken salt
The chips were over cooked and cooked in dirty oil the gravy tasted like water and there was no salt on the chips let alone extra chicken salt! Pretty appauled by the price of the chips wouldnt of minded paying that much if it was really yum but it was horrible didnt enjoy it one bit infact we through them out! Deffinately wont be going back there again!

I normaly come to this shop and have a really good meal, tonight it was one of the worst meals I have gotten from a fish and chip shop very disappointed!!

Highly Recommend! my friend and I bought grilled fish, salad and potato scallops today.Amazing!! I am going as far to say It has been tastiest and freshest fish and chip shop I have ever been to! The fish was cooked to perfection and was a great portion size! The Salad was sooo fresh! and the potato scallop was cooked to perfection being both crispy and not oily! Fantastic! Will be definitely coming back!!! Great Work!!
