AVOID AT ALL COSTS

I don’t usually leave reviews, but I feel it’s important to share my experience so others are aware.



On 22 September 2025, I took a Forever New trench coat with a matching belt to Pristine Dry Cleaners after my cat had soiled it. I collected the coat later that week, still sealed in the plastic bag. When I went to wear it about two weeks later, I found that the belt was missing.



Since then, I’ve visited the store four separate times to ask about the missing belt. Each time, staff took my phone number and promised to get back to me that day. No one ever followed up. On my last visit on 11 November, the staff member even phoned the owner in front of me, who said he would look for the belt—but again, I received no response.



I understand mistakes can happen, but after seven weeks and repeated broken promises, I’ve still had no contact or resolution. Under Australian Consumer Law, businesses are required to provide services with due care and return items in the condition they were received.



Unfortunately, my experience suggests this business does not take responsibility for lost items or communicate with customers once they’ve been paid.



I’ve now lodged a formal complaint with the ACT Office of Fair Trading and will be reporting the matter to police as a potential theft.



I would strongly recommend that customers avoid leaving valuable or irreplaceable items here, and to check everything carefully before leaving the store.

Don't gamble away your nice things

sent in a bunch of dry cleaning including an expensive woven silk tie. the tie returned heavily damaged, looks like it was stapled heavily right on the front. owner/manager dodged all my calls to reconcile the issue. if you have nice things, don't bring them here
