Exactly the help I needed.

Eleanora's approach was very common-sense. She clearly knew exactly what she was doing, answered my nervous questions no matter how apparently trivial, and explained several recent developments that had been causing me great concern. Some Geeks are better than others

I booked a Geek to come out and repair my desktop because I kept getting a ".Driver Power State Failure". I had also asked for our two printers to be made wirelessly accessible and networked and my USB ports to be checked. Being fair to the technician he couldn't trace the problem causing the Driver Power State Failure error but I haven't had it since. He said that there was nothing in the error logs to indicate the cause. The USB ports where working again.

After 2+ hours at my home he told me that the printers were now networked and wireless enabled. I didn't check to see if everything he said was true. Last week I tried to print a document in black and white and everything came out in a sepia colour, I tried printing in colour and I got the colours by no black letters making up the words in the document. I thought it might be the printer cartridge so I bought a new one and changed it. The results were the same. No black type. Yesterday I tried to scan a document and found that although the printer was listed in the PC's control panel the PC couldn't couldn't scan the document.

I will use another PC repair provider. If you choose to use GEEKS 2U I strongly suggest you personally check everything that they reckon they fixed.

Don't call these people if your issue is part related

I paid the call out fee which was a massive waste of money. A technician came out. Spent an hour looking at the way my PC was running and then told me that I needed more RAM. I would have to pay another $100+ for the call out as well as the cost of the RAM. No parts carried by the tech. A complete waste of time and money. Take your computer to a shop.

My wired and wireless network at home weren't performing as well. I decide to call Geeks2U to have a look, Anand came over to have a look. He really knew his stuff, he very carefully had a look at my configurations and set up. He quickly worked out how to optimise then verified all the devices (Surround sound, SmartTV, laptop, desktop, Apple TV, Spotify, iPads, iPhones, NAS, Remote backup) was all working. The difference was staggering and did all of this in an hour and a half. Very skilled, very efficient, very active.

Everything is done professionally from booking to follow ups! Costs and extras are explained up front so you know what to expect and there are no horrible surprises at the end. With the extra things that were required to get my computer working better I needed some more RAM, a new cable and Brian also provided a new mouse at very reasonable prices...no huge mark ups.
