Took a van for a checkup at request of the potential buyer. "Ball joints need replacing $65 each - $5-600 total". Went to my usual mechanic "$40 each and $150 all done".

Keen to make work and overcharge for it. Told my buyer it would cost $1500 for $500 worth of work!
