Today I had the most pleasant experience in Customer service retail that I have had for a very longtime. The customer service was beyond excellent. I had requested a very treasured VHS copy of a promotional family business venture to be converted to a DVD. The owner rang me to inform me that the item was ready for collection. I went to the shop in Kew to collect the item. I also decided to buy some photo frames. The owner assisted me to find the perfect photo on my iphone and have it printed , free of charge and cleaned the new frame then put it in the frame for me. I came home and watched the DVD. I am very satisfied with the quality of the DVD and found that the customer service from this business to be of the highest level. I will be back. I will also be informing all of my friends to support this business. Good old fashioned passionate service in this specialised niche market / industry. 5/5

Extremely disappointing

We had several video (VCR) copies made to DVD and the service and product we received was so poor that I am strongly recommending that people consider using this service. After almost 4 weeks being transferred (and not returning calls) when i finally received and checked the DVD copies made the video quality was so poor and in blue colour throughout. We were told this is typical and would not offer any refund or any explanation other than its our fault. As such we were given a sub-standard product, without any issue of refund, or explanation other than it was our fault providing a low quality VCR tape. The whole process was dealt with so rudely that we will not be returning. This was quite concerning given that these tapes were old family videos that we were having transferred for a family birthday present.

As such we went to another competitors store and had the VCR tapes checked, new DVD copies made and found that the copies were in fact perfect. Trust me, shop around and I would be very reluctant to use such a service from PhotoQ in the future

INCOMPETENCE ON A UNCOMMON SCALE

Some businesses adapt to a changing environment by finding areas where they can shoot down their competition. Photo Q has only one bullet left in the chamber, customer service, and its misfiring.

In a world tailor made for the online environment, survival will belong to only the most adaptable. Photo Q is either ignorant, unwilling or too arrogant to care.

I built calendars on recently upgraded, woefully inadequate software. After two hours of my time and worse still two days later, it turned out that half the product ordered wasn't even offered.

What followed was seven weeks of surly, atrocious service- always initiated by me the customer. In the end i thought they probably refund my measly $30 spent, but no, no goodwill gesture here.

I wouldn't bother. Apple shipped me a calendar from Japan that I made in the comfort of my own home which, even when misplaced by the courier, arrived five weeks ahead of the one from Photo Q.
