Extremely disappointed with our experience using Tasmanian Furniture Transport.



Our belongings were moved from Hobart to Brisbane and one of our boxes — containing approximately $3,000 worth of my husband’s professional arborist equipment (including chainsaws, harness, ropes, PPE etc.) — never arrived.



The inventory provided to us listed many boxes only as “Owner Carton,” and a number of boxes arrived without stickers or labels. Even the delivery team mentioned at the time that they were struggling to match items to the list because of the inconsistent labelling.



We reported the missing box immediately and provided detailed descriptions, but after several emails and follow-ups, we were told that they “have no new information” and that all they can offer is to tell us to claim on our own insurance. No formal claims process was provided, no compensation offered, and no accountability taken, despite the items being in their care from start to finish.



We trusted the company with our belongings and expected a professional and reliable service. Unfortunately, that was not our experience

Ensure you get all correspondence in writing. We were told delivery 10 days after pick up... took a month. Stuff was missing and we received other peoples items. Also a number of boxes were crushed. When I provided feedback was advised that they won't quote in volume (apparently a national policy not too?) and that they were too busy to tell us when items would be delivered.... We had to chase on a daily basis and would be told it's coming we will call you this afternoon. Never happened. We moved into an empty house for over two weeks as timed our arrival at maximum date range for drop off.

We booked ahead weeks in advance to have this company do our move from Tasmania to Melbourne, as we can't really move across the Bass Strait without! We had a confirmed date with no time, chased a time repeatedly, and never received one. The day before they said the quote was wrong (it had already gone up once) and that they wouldnt be coming until the following business day. When we rang to try and get a time the following day for the Monday, they still did not have one.



The staff are extremely rude. I caution you strongly not to deal with them.

I was so disappointed with the service provided by this company. I planned an interstate move weeks in advance and after having to update my original delivery date by a few days due to COVID 19, I found that there was a complete lack of communication despite my reaching out to their office to coordinate this change (woman at reception was a delight to deal with however). I called the office multiple times requesting an updated delivery date and received absolutely no information around when I could expect my things to arrive. I was so shocked to not be contacted at all and it made my moving experience even more stressful than it conventionally is. It was so frustrating and I ended up having to purchase temporary sleeping arrangements. Days later I am still waiting for my things to arrive and have not been given an updated delivery window. I will not be referring this company to anyone.

Extremely disappointing service right from the start! Save yourself some major headaches and go with someone else.

Just terrible, where do I even start; overpriced, damaged, careless, overcharged on pick up day, no communication, no estimates of time, wrong information, just trying to get your money.

Really shocking experience as we called and called before our stuff was even picked up (moved from TAS to QLD) to get as accurate as we could so there were no added costs. The lady (Kelly in the office) who handled the calls never replied, refused to reply to emails and just was so useless that she wouldn't answer any the questions correctly. Anyway, low and behold when they picked our stuff up they charged us hundreds of dollars extra (even after I sent through photos and lists) that we had to pay within 24 hours or else. No time to ask questions and they didn't itemise any costs so we had no idea what we were paying for. Anyway, our stuff sat in Launceston for 3 weeks after we were assured they would be in QLD no later than 3 weeks. They will tell you anything to get your money and then leave you hanging. Not once did they contact us to give us updates, we had to call every week to get answers, emails will get you nowhere because they don't respond even if you fill out the form from their website.

When the stuff finally arrived things were damaged, not cared for, some boxes completely missing and others with holes in. Again, they never accepted any blame or apologised, just ghosted us, not taking phone calls or responding to emails.

EXTREMELY POOR customer support and just do not trust them. Go with a larger company who can do the job proud, also if you read other reviews on this company on google, they are all really low rated with same experience. Sorry I didn't see them before because I never would give them my money.

Terrible communication and rough handling by removalists. 2 items damaged through obvious poor handing and no response.

I have moved from Tasmania to the Sunshine Coast and have used this company a few times how and couldn't be happier with the service, communication, price and care taken with with my items throughout the whole process. Very happy nothing was damaged or broken and everything went very smoothly making a stressful time easy. I have recommended this company to family and friends who have also used them and been very happy. Highly Recommended!!
