No car owner should settle for a paint job of this quality. Especially when you've paid top dollar! I bought this Volvo and in the receipt folder was a closed door respray not even 5 years ago at a whopping $18,000 from Andy's Restorations in Kurnell. The previous owner had the car garaged and was lucky to have driven 10,000kms during that time from what i can see on service history and it being out of rego for two years. I've been driving it daily for the past month and the clear is peeling... Glad i didn't pay for this paint job or i would've been really angry but I felt it necessary to share the bad workmanship coming from this shop so no one else suffers.

Paint started peeling off after a couple of weeks, paint preparation was non existent, some parts re-fitted using mismatched screws and bolts, the paint chips easily, many parts not even replaced as originally fitted etc, etc, etc. Did I mention that they left leaves inside the car and then painted them, clear coated the leaves and baked them in the car??! The costs snowballed to almost twice the initial quote, but I suppose $25k would be considered a decent price for a body restoration. Great speed once the payments had gone through, from it taking months, I got really rushed to pick it up after he'd finished it 'as best as he could' which included painting over my vin with stone guard and paint. I think the pics speak for themselves - google Andy's restorations and dig around (Ausrotary, Porsche forum and his previous FB page. Also note that he has deactivated customer reviews on his current FB page). This matter has been to court, we settled and the car is now at another shop having the work redone. Beware!
