Distinctive Marble & Granite

We were very unsatisfied with Nick’s service and products. Nick was very untrustworthy when it came to installation of stone benches for our kitchen and bathrooms. He didn’t show up on time and made excuses about car broke down or delayed with other work. Delayed not once but 3 times. Which means that other contractors that was booked after the stone installation needed to be postponed. We had an issue with the kitchen bench top height being made too high (not as per drawing plans) and they wanted to charge an extra $1k to fix their mistake. I would not recommend and warning people to stay away from this company.

We supplied the stone for this job (4 slabs - big job). He insisted on a 50% deposit prior to starting the job. We paid the deposit and organised a start day to which he did not show. I eventually managed to get hold of nick and he said he would arrive the next day. He did come and installed a couple of pieces of the bench.



Long story short, there is part of the island bench which has a curve instead of being straight, lots of chips on the edges which he filled which have later fallen out, he also did the splash back around the whole kitchen. After he had installed a corner section, I asked why he had left a 2.5cm gap at the corner. He told me the wall wasn’t straight and to get the wall fixed. I insisted he remove it and fix the angles of the stone so it fit the wall. I had requested that the splash back meet the top of the cabinets. He did that over one side of the kitchen, the other side he has gone 2/3’s of the way. When I came home and pointed this out to him, his face wore the expression of dread before he quickly told me he had run out of stone.



Getting him to arrive on the days/times he had organised was impossible. He never arrived when organised and always had an excuse. It took over a month for him to finish installing the stone in the kitchen. I will never recommend Nick.

TAKE THE DEPOSIT AND DO NOT DO THE JOB. 10/12/13 WAS THE DATE WHEN SOULD INSTAL THE KITCHEN AND LAUNDRY BENCH TOP, BUT STEEL I DONT HAVE KITCHEN BENCH TOP. PROMISING BUT NEVER TURNS UP. LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE DO NOT TUCH THEM.
